Fostering yard culture and support for study

Cultural Services manages the Mauri Perkonoja Donation Fund, the proceeds of which, according to the fund’s rules, must be used to nurture yard culture and general nature conservation and landscape management. Since 2012, the city’s Education and Leisure Board has organized Paimio’s most beautiful backyard competition in even years. The fund has also given study scholarships and art scholarships to low-income students in Paimio.
